Chris Elliot, a young seminary student, feels discouraged and disillusioned by her studies. What she is being taught is not what she inwardly knows to be true.
Along with two close friends, Chris becomes intrigued by a new interpretation of the Gospel of John, and she begins asking questions. Was John's message deliberately hidden? Did he purposefully rearrange Biblical events to show not just a story but also a journey? Where does the journey lead?
Chris comes to believe that the Gospel author intended his message to be secret until the time came when a future generation might hear the simple truth Jesus came to tell. Chris finds the courage to leave the Church and answer the call she hears within — a call that takes her on a journey to This Place of Love.
